Name: Nicholas Pucey. Nicknames: None, really. He doesn’t take well to Nick. His mother used to call him Darling Nicky and so he will not allow anyone to call him 'Nicky'. Position in School: Senior. Age: 18. Birthday: May 22nd. Height: 5’10”. Weight: 161 lbs. Hair Colour: Dark brown. Eye Colour: Blue. Marks: None.
Appearance: Nicholas is a handsome young man, and not without a good bit of style, unlike many young boys. Although he is not terribly tall, standing about five foot ten in height, he carries himself well. He has a lean build, not scrawny, but never muscular either, with healthy but fair skin. Nicholas is not one to spend a lot of time out in the sun, unless it is for a good reason.
His hair is a dark brown, and is worn stylishly long, just enough to fall over his forehead (a lock of hair that never seems to want to be anywhere else) and down the back of his neck, worn in artful disarray. His eyes are a pale blue in colour, and he has a very nice smile that flashes with a good bit of charm and confidence. When it comes to clothes, Nicholas knows what he is doing. He can dress up with the best of them, and even when he is casual, it is a very purposeful casual. He never looks grungy or rumpled.
Psychic Ability: Psychic Healer. Expanded abilities: Nicholas is able to manipulate cells with his mind. This allows him to heal. He can knit flesh together to seal up wounds and sooth over burned skin. He can also fuse bones together, so long as they are properly set. Limitations: The larger the wound, the more difficult it is for Nicholas. Obviously he cannot heal once someone is dead. When he is under extreme pressure he finds it more difficult.
Personality: On the surface, Nicholas is a bit of a spoiled rich boy. He is confident in himself and his place in life, and is not afraid to speak (although he is very careful as to what he says!). He can be quite witty and urbane, and is very charming when he wants to be. He often knows just the right things to say to a person to make them laugh or to stir their intellect. He has a silver tongue and a whole lot of charm.
He is spoiled, because of his family’s wealth, and is accustomed to getting his own . Nicholas can get quite cross when he doesn't get his way, and does have a bit of a temper, although it takes a good deal to provoke it. He can have an acid tongue when someone falls to his ill will. And when he sets his sights to wanting something, he is quite determined in getting it.
There is a part of Nicholas, kept carefully veiled from everyone. His is much more sensitive and thoughtful than he sometimes lets on. There is in him an innate curiosity there, a need to know the rest of the world and what exists outside the boarders that have been so carefully constructed for him. Nicholas is friendly and social, but although he has a large network of friends and acquaintances, there are very few people who ever see Nicholas through and through with all his secrets. He has a lot to hide and a lot to lose.
Nicholas is currently torn about his life. Because of his abilities he feels like he ought to be a healer or go into medicine. And yet his passion lies in writing, specifically he wishes to be a journalist.
Strengths: Nicholas has a charming personality, which makes him quite likeable. He is an intelligent young man and does well in his studies. As he comes from money, he wants for very little. He is inquisitive and interested in the world around him. Nicholas can be a very good friend to those he holds dear. Weaknesses: Nicholas can sometimes be spoiled. Its not entirely his fault, just the way he was raised. He is used to having his own way. He is very sensitive about the topic of his mother. He does not have a good relationship with his father, but more of a business relationship. Sometimes he is afraid to be himself. Likes: Cleverness, wit in other people, people who intrigue him, fine music, books, writing, tea, questions, puzzles of different sorts (crossword, logic puzzles, actual puzzles), games (but not of the athletic sort), swimming, peppermints. Dislikes: Excessive dirt, very loud people, stupidity, boredom, people who comment on his mother (or lack thereof), low-brow humour, British stereotypes.
History: Nicholas was born to a wealthy British couple, William and Teresa Pucey. He was born in London, England, raised in a fancy manor, and schooled in his younger years at posh boarding schools. A few years after his birth, his sister Elisabeth was born. His mother died during delivery. Nicholas, having been something of a mama’s boy, never got over the loss.
Still, he persevered. He was clever and did well in his studies, and was charming and popular. It was expected that he would follow in the family business of finances, and everything was laid out for him on a silver plate. Until puberty hit, that was. At first he didn’t notice anything amiss, but eventually he realised some of his injuries healed quickly when he rubbed them. Nicholas kept his abilities to himself until he was sure - he was fifteen when he went to tell his father what he could do.
His father promptly told him to keep quiet about it, for he didn’t want anything to mar the family name. And Nicholas did keep quiet about it - until he was sixteen. At school one of his friends was seriously injured in a fall, and Nicholas healed the wound (not perfectly, but enough to staunch the bleeding) - in front of a whole group of students and teachers. Word quickly spread. His father, embarrassed, yanked him out of school. After some searching, Nicholas was sent across the ocean, to the Zener School in America.
